HVAC order for 47 meter patrol vessel

United States Coast Guard (USCG) awarded the new series of Fast Response Cutters (FRC) to Bollinger shipyard. Novenco has co-operated with Bollinger for many years and signed the contract for HVAC delivery in April.

The FRC is a 47 meter patrol vessel with a crew of 22. The FRC will be put into service to ensure security along the United States’ 95,000 nautical miles of coastline. Novenco has received the order for 1 ship and 33 options. The shipyard will deliver one vessel every 8 weeks.

The project might last for more than 10 years and requires a good teamwork and partnership between Bollinger and all suppliers and therefore Bollinger pick the suppliers carefully. We are happy to be accepted as partner on this project.

Novenco’s strength on this type of ship is our high pressure system which has small dimensions and low weight.

The main Novenco scope of supply is design, coast guard documentation, AHU, FCU, air intakes/outlets, aluminium ducting, cabin units, QDX cooling plants, control systems, installation and commissioning.

The first FRC patrol boat will be delivered during the first quarter of fiscal year 2011 to Coast Guard District 7 in Miami.
